The process involves laminating a toughened (tempered) glass panel between two panels of annealed glass by a special plastic film (PVB). After curing, the panel is then machined to size, during which, the toughened panel shatters creating the cracked effect.
The upper and lower panels contain the cracked middle sheet in perfect safety and the effect is amazing. Used in conjunction with downlighters, Cracked Glass creates stunning corporate furniture and interior features. Used with uplighters for raised feature floors, it creates a dramatic focal point to any room.
